Useful software.
Thoughtfully built.

I’m Humayan Al Rosid, the developer behind ExamMint and Project12. I turn everyday friction into tools that people can actually use.

02 / OPEN SOURCE

Tools for the work behind the work.

NOTIFICATION HISTORYAndroid / Offline

LastDrop

A local-only Android notification ledger built with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Keep a searchable history of captured notifications, star important alerts, and explore notification activity by app and hour. Records stay on your device, with no internet permission.

IMAGE OPTIMIZATIONAndroid / Offline

ReSinc

An offline Android image optimizer built with Flutter. Compress photos to target KB limits, crop and resize images, and strip EXIF metadata before export. Processing stays on your device, with saved presets and a local history for repeat tasks.

DEVELOPER TOOLINGEarly development

dead-assets

A Rust command-line tool that finds unreferenced images, SVGs, fonts, and media in frontend projects. Built for Astro, Next.js, Vite, and similar codebases, it reports cleanup candidates and potential storage savings.

03 / ENGINEERING NOTES

The decisions behind the work.

01 / ARCHITECTURE

Put the computation where it belongs.

For ExamMint’s image tools, that means the browser. Local processing keeps files on the device and avoids a server-side image pipeline. The architecture follows the problem.

02 / MAINTAINABILITY

Knowing what to stop building.

I retired ExamMint’s notification scrapers and portal monitors. Changing government websites and anti-bot behavior made maintenance impractical. Keeping a system alive isn’t always the best use of engineering time.

A lesson from retiring Noticeboard & Portal Watch.

04 / THE PERSON BEHIND THE CODE

Curiosity first.
Then the right tools.

Humayan’s Pharao Cat avatarHumayan Al Rosid@humayanx · Murshidabad, India

I left B.Sc. Mathematics to build things. What stayed with me is the need to understand why something works, not just follow the steps.

Today, I build ExamMint’s educational utilities and Project12’s Bengali paperwork guides. I care about useful software, clear logic, and choices I can maintain long after launch.

TOOLS I REACH FOR

TypeScript / Rust / Astro / SolidJS / WebAssembly / Cloudflare / IndexedDB / CSS
